Today's Focused Penny Stocks Alert Include:

Aug 10th 2009: SMWF, IDOI, CBAI, HTDS,

SMWF: MA 30 days flat trend at least 4 days (30 Days MA break out)
This is a wait signal. Watch your other buy or sell signs for direction.
A flat trend can indicate that the stock in preparing for a correction and it could begin to go down.

MACD upward crossed zero-line 3 days ago and still up (MACD 8-17-9)
As the MACD gets older, the time we have available to hold the trade becomes shorter and shorter. An MACD green arrow that is older than 2 days provides a fairly weak positive signal and still needs to be combined with a stochastics green arrow. This signal is ok in a bullish market environment but is much riskier in a down trending one.
A conservative investor will take action on an MACD green arrow only when it is combined with 150% of the average volume to avoid a 'fake out'.

Stochastics Value downward crossed 75 in 2 days (Stochastics 14-5 breakout)
Strong negative signal when combined with a red arrow on the MACD. Indicates reduced demand for the stock and could precede a flat or down trend in the price pattern.

Today's volume is greater than the average volume of previous 10 days, but less than 150% of it. (Volume)
On its own this kind of volume is not a strong positive signal but does lend some strength to the other positive signals we may be seeing.
In a down trending market we need higher than average volume of at least 150% to invest.

IDOI: MA 30 days up trend greater than a month (30 Days MA break out)
A moving average that has been up trending for more than a month is a very positive signal when combined with the other green indicators. We always want to trade with the trend.
The shorter the time period that the trend has been going up the more risky our potential trade is. In an up trending market if the price bars are above the moving average it begins to act as support and the stock is likely to bounce off of it for an extended 'lake' play.

Today's volume is less than the average volume of previous 10 days. (Volume)
Indicates weak interest in the stock. Does not indicate a strong positive or negative signal.
In a down trending market we need higher than average volume of at least 150% to qualify as a positive signal.

CBAI: MA 30 days down trend greater than 4 days (30 Days MA break out)
This is a negative signal.
If the price bars are below the moving average it could become resistance and stocks tend to bounce off of it and continue going down.

MACD upward crossed zero-line less than 3 days ago (MACD 8-17-9)
The green arrow appears on the MACD when the histogram crosses the 'base line'. This indicates strong market buying interest. When combined with the stochastics green arrow this creates the classic "green green" positive signal.
A more conservative investor will invest on the MACD green arrow only when it is combined with 150% of the average volume to avoid a 'fake out'.

Today's volume is less than the average volume of previous 10 days. (Volume)
Indicates weak interest in the stock. Does not indicate a strong positive or negative signal.
In a down trending market we need higher than average volume of at least 150% to qualify as a positive signal.

HTDS: MA 30 days up trend greater than a month (30 Days MA break out)
A moving average that has been up trending for more than a month is a very positive signal when combined with the other green indicators. We always want to trade with the trend.
The shorter the time period that the trend has been going up the more risky our potential trade is. In an up trending market if the price bars are above the moving average it begins to act as support and the stock is likely to bounce off of it for an extended 'lake' play.

Stochastics Value downward crossed 75 more than 2 days ago, now between 25 and 75 line in up trend (Stochastics 14-5 breakout)
Strong positive signal when combined with a green arrow on the MACD. This indicates stronger buying interest in the stock from investors and usually precedes an upturn in the price pattern.
This may occur close to the 75% line and in that case may present only a short-term opportunity for growth, as the stock may be almost overbought.

Today's volume is less than the average volume of previous 10 days. (Volume)
Indicates weak interest in the stock. Does not indicate a strong positive or negative signal.
In a down trending market we need higher than average volume of at least 150% to qualify as a positive signal.
